Mere PR, the agency owned by golf-loving Tony Tighe, has secured the contract to promote the British Masters, to be held at the Belfry, for the fourth year on the bounce.
The Belfry This years tournament is to be held in September and will be called the Quinn Insurance British Masters, in deference to its headline sponsor.Mere has been tasked by organiser International Sports Management (ISM) to handle media relations, the production of radio campaigns, promotions, sampling and direct mail. The activity will culminate with the agency team attending the event to provide support for the European Tour's media centre. Account director Ruth Weir will head up the high-profile task. ISM’s Belinda Laubi praised the agency for its contribution to the success of the recent Masters events, as she noted: "The efforts of Mere PR over the last few years have confirmed that they have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience - and this, coupled with the new ideas they have proposed, will stand us all in good stead for an even better year." www.mere.co.uk
