Mere to help launch new football boot Concave | Print |  Email to a friend
Thursday, 17 July 2008
Mere PR is publicising the consumer launch of what is claimed is a ‘groundbreaking’ new football boot called Concave which could help reduce the number of times punters have to listen the dreaded phrase…. metatarsal injury.

The Manchester agency has built a niche for itself in this area with a number of retailers and sports goods manufacturers as clients.

Mere PR is publicising the consumer launch of what is claimed is a ‘groundbreaking’ new football boot called Concave which could help reduce the number of times punters have to listen the dreaded phrase…. metatarsal injury.
Rooney - post metatarsal
Concave claims that it is the first football boot which combines the most effective ever ‘sweet spot’ with a system for protecting the metatarsal.

The boot has been designed by a group of players and sports scientists and is being launched after apparently eight years of R&D into what constitutes the ‘perfect kick’.

The manufacturer maintains that independent tests have shown that the boot can deliver up to 30% more accuracy and 15% more power than conventional boots and is also more effective in combating the occurrence of metatarsal injuries.

Consortium member Kenny Dalglish said: “The Concave football boot will have a profound impact on the game of football worldwide.”

Mere’s campaign will focus on building national consumer awareness and the boot’s celebrity ambassadors.
