Monday, 21 July 2008

Liverpool new media agency, New Mind has collected the Small Business of the Year Award at Liverpool Daily Post’s Regional Business Awards.

Judges said they were impressed with the company’s clear and creative business strategy and they beat companies – including ICE - to win the prize.

"My co-director Andy and myself are absolutely thrilled to receive the accolade of best small business on Merseyside," said Richard Veal, managing director of New Mind.

"Coming as it does just months before our 10th birthday, we feel that the award fittingly crowns our achievements over the past decade. It also heralds the next phase of New Mind’s evolution as we take our eTourism solution to international markets."

The agency has established a major share of the UK’s tourism market with its Destination Management System, which they’re now looking to take overseas.

They also say the outlook is good for the future, having recruited 5 new staff and increased turnover for the first quarter of this year by 100% on the same period last year.

They’re also planning to add 8 more staff to their Romanian office.
