Following a three way pitch, the Manchester office of PR agency Biss Lancaster has been appointed by Dairy Farmers of Britain, to handle the PR activity for a number of its brands.
The brands include the corporate name itself plus Cadog, a Welsh dairy brand made in North Wales, a new children’s brand Wonder Cow and Granini, an international fruit juice brand for which Dairy Farmers has acquired the UK licence to distribute.
Based in Nantwich Cheshire, Dairy Farmers claims to be the UK’s largest dairy co-operative. Its 2600 members market over 1.5bn litres of milk a year as well as producing a growing range of cheese brands.
Dairy Farmers commercial director, David Potts, said; “These are exciting times for our organisation and we were looking for a PR partner that was as passionate about real, good dairy food as we are. Biss Lancaster presented the perfect mix of a hard working media relations campaign coupled with creative - but relevant, measurable and cost effective – ideas. We are delighted to have them on board.”
Just to ensure the opportunity wasn’t missed, the official line from Biss Lancaster was “We are hoping to work with them for a long time – until the cows come home, in fact.”
