The NHS is looking to create a new agency framework within the region that, in total, will be worth a huge £30m to marketing services agencies over the course of the next three years.
The NHS North West Collaborative Procurement Hub (NWCPH) is spearheading the tendering process. This rather awkwardly monikered body is headquartered in Salford and looks to co-ordinate the buying needs, and thus provide economies of scale, for 50 NHS organisations based in the region. It has now initiated the search for agencies working across six separate lots, cumulatively dealing with a brief it has christened ‘North West Provision of Social Marketing & Associated Services.’ Agencies are invited to apply for one or more of the lots (detailed below) that cover PR, design and creative, media planning and buying, research, strategy and planning, and stakeholder and public engagement. Spokespeople for the procurement body were unavailable to reveal further details of the tender, beyond what has been published at the NHS tendering website, to How-Do at the time of writing. NHS: a social challenge Agencies interested in applying for the framework agreement, which could be extended to four years, should do so prior to the cut off date of 17 November. The available lots are as follows: Design and concept development – “The origination and delivery of creative work, concept and proposition development based on clear segmentations and consumer.” Media relations/PR: “Specialist media and public relations services.” Research and insight generation: “Secondary and primary consumer research, insight and segmentation.” Media planning/buying: “Specialist media planning advice to suit clear target groups and specialist media buying services.” Strategy and planning: “Development of social marketing strategies and practical programme planning.” Stakeholder and public engagement: “Specialist services in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, public, community and patient engagement.” www.nwcph.nhs.uk Something to add?
