A clutch of agencies from the North West have succeeding in laying claim to spots on the COI's potentially lucrative new four year roster, which has been established to service the needs of its clients with regional marketing requirements. Competition for the spots was tight, with 205 agencies applying for the framework and 45 winning through to the final selection.
The winning teams were chosen on their ability to deliver "a full service across advertising, direct marketing, design/branding, digital and PR." In a roster that is split into nine regional lots, the following agencies have been selected to service the needs of the COI in the North West: BJL, Amaze Plc, Access Advertising, Marketing & Design Ltd, The Hub, Thoughtful Studios Ltd, The King’s Arms, Frank the agency, Squad Ltd and Origin Creative Design. COI approved BJL has also scored places on the frameworks for the North East, Yorkshire and Humber, and Wales. It is joined in the latter region by Access, which has also reached beyond its North West base.In a statement from the COI, Phil Fraser, the head of the body's regional client account team, said: "The review process was rigorous, and the agency applications of a very high standard. The winning agencies are now in a position to work on some of the most challenging briefs the government and public sector can offer. "Clients are increasingly looking for agencies that can provide unique insight into what makes regional audiences tick and how to reach them. This framework allows us to provide in-depth regional support for clients who want to tap into that experience." The roster is now in place until April 2013.
