Liverpool's Kenyon Fraser has scored a coup with the capture of social marketing expert Ben O'Brien from the NHS to head up the agency's 'health and society' team.
O'Brien, as many a How-Do reader will be aware, is currently based at Knowsley and led the high profile initiative to establish the NHS' controversial (if you happened to work in Fleet Street) £30m social marketing roster in the region. He spearheaded this as NHS North West associate director for social marketing, although his current title is assistant director for communications, engagement and marketing at Knowsley Health & Wellbeing. High profile signing for KF O'Brien joins Kenyon Fraser in January to head the firm's specialist team of 15 social marketers, who work across a portfolio of 30 NHS clients from around the UK.Agency MD Richard Kenyon said of his capture: “Ben’s role in developing social marketing in the NHS has been outstandingly successful. To say we’re excited about his joining us would be an understatement. “We’ve already grown our social marketing capability considerably, but feel there are many more opportunities in the sector, which Ben will help develop.” O'Brien is also an associate at the National Social Marketing Centre. He was ranked at number three in How-Do's first Public Sector 100 this year. www.kenyons.co.uk Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
