Damar International of Leicester, a specialist supplier of machine tools in the UK, has won a construction industry award - an SED – for its effectiveness in marketing a new product which was launched through clickintoPR.com.

Clickinto PR.com was established by Bury agency Ainsworth Maguire two years ago. Its aim was to provide both an online press distribution service and a more comprehensive online media relations support service.

Its target market is SMEs who Ainsworth Maguire say “don’t wish for or can’t afford the more traditional agency retainer method of working.”

MD Adrian Maguire claimed that 80 companies have registered for the service since launch, of whom over half have used it for one or more services. A dozen companies he said are regular users.

Companies pay between £245 for a straightforward press distribution service up to £700 for a feature promotion – all managed remotely.

Maguire added that they are now starting to market the service in the US with the initial focus on US subsidiaries of UK customers.

Brian Martin, MD of Damar said he was “delighted with the service.”
