Packaging design agency Touchpoint has redesigned the look of Glengettie, Ty-Phoo’s premium tea brand for Welsh consumers.
Glenget-it in Glengettie is an established name in the Welsh marketplace and, due to the fact that it is specially blended to complement the softer Welsh water, has won an ardent following amongst tea drinkers with a taste for independence and self-expression.Touchpoint’s new packaging design draws on its heritage in the country, from the time when it was first marketed as a strong brew for miners, through to the present day more coveted, ‘premium’ status. The box itself features a revamped strapline, bi-lingual text and a prominent Welsh dragon, while contemporising the name style to show the brand has as much relevance in the present as the past. As Touchpoint creative director Howard Wright explained: “Glengettie has a strong and loyal customer base. "The tea has been specifically blended to deliver a combination of distinctive flavour and quality for the Welsh market, something we had to convey with the packaging. We know that this is one of the best-loved brands in Wales and abroad, (for people) who want a taste of home.” Touchpoint has a history of brand and packaging revitalisation with Ty-Phoo, having recently redesigned the look of the firm’s black tea, as well as its fruit and herbal ranges. The Glengettie range is available from supermarkets and grocers, predominantly in Wales, and is also available over the internet. www.touchpointuk.com Something to add?
