Laura Wolfe, formerly the regional director of the Institute of Directors, is to leave Out There events to launch the UK arm of her brother's US marketing operation.
Wolfe Wolfe joined the business at the tail end of 2007, but will now be focusing on setting up the UK office of Journey9, a US marketing group that delivers services ranging from TV production to on and offline campaign production and management. The business is operated in the States by Wolfe's brother David. She is expected to start the new UK operation in January.
Wolfe, in her capacity as sales director, brought a number of new clients to Out There during her stay with the company. Out There is putting a brave face on the news and has stated that it is "cautiously optimistic about 2010" following some new business wins. Staff numbers at Out There have fallen from over a dozen in the past 18 months. In addition to Wolfe, two other directors, two senior project managers, the operations manager and the marketing/PR manager are among those who have also left the company. The company has in the past few days removed the names and profiles of the five remaining staff from its 'About Us' page on its website. www.journey9.com Something to add?
