Paver Smith swallows up Pazang | Print |  Email to a friend

Paver Smith swallows up Pazang
Wilmslow pr agency, Pazang has been integrated into Paver Smith and will move to the company’s new Spinningfields’ office.

PR watchers may have noticed Pazang’s website disappearing recently, and instead diverting to a PC company, the changes follow the 'retirement' of founder Tanya Arturi.

Arturi has just given birth to her first son and will focus on new lifestyle magazine, Prestbury Living.

"It's been my baby for 6 years, and I've taken great pride in what we have achieved,” said Arturi.

"The arrival of baby Cameron however has caused a major re-think in the commitment I could give to Pazang, and having met the team at Paver Smith I'm confident that their principles and standards will continue to more than support our clients' needs. I'm happy that the spirit of Pazang will live on within Paver Smith."

Pazang account director, Charlotte Jones will now join Paver Smith, which adds to its Manchester acquisitions, following the purchase of Stripe Communications.

"We'll take growth and high calibre people from wherever they may come," said Dougal Paver.

"Charlotte's highly respected with a great consumer and professional services background and will be a great help to Denise Mullen in growing our Manchester presence."

Oh joy, another lifestyle magazine for the Cheshire set!

Not another macazine! What is it that makes all these different people think they have the only answer to the reading needs of the affluent?

"Arturi has just given birth to her first son"

Has the soothsayer said there are some more boys on the way? Gosh. I never believed in that stuff but this is good. Maybe a magazine about that might be better?

Good to see some ailing PR companies are managing to spin their failure better than others, though no mention is made of the future of the other staff at Pazang.

Actually, no one works there. Zoe left in September, Danielle left in October, Lee left in December and Kat was made redundant in January. So how many people are they taking on board?
 6 By Insider, on 06-02-2009 15:14
There were reason's why these people left. And I'm sure Paver have bought those reasons.

p.s. why is their site down?

I'm guessing not a lot of money changed hands in this "acquisition"

Great quote by Douglas Paver - has he asked why everyone else really left Pazang?
 10 By Picture perfect, on 06-02-2009 18:22
The photo is a little misleading considering three of the staff haven't worked there for months.

Ah, Prestbury - the land the credit crunch forgot.

Is Charlotte still working there as her profile has gone!
