Manchester's Photolink has come through a pitch against a competing field of Indian agencies to collect the task to rebrand South Asia's 'leading creative and performing arts institution, the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai.
Manchester's Photolink has come through a pitch against a competing field of Indian agencies to collect the task to rebrand South Asia's 'leading creative and performing arts institution', the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai.

The body, founded by global industrial giant TATA Group in the 1960s, will now be looking to Photolink to spearhead a creative strategy and total rebrand for its five theatres, craft centres, photographic gallery, recording studios and other 'creative spaces'.

In addition the agency will be handling the task of creating corporate brochures for the NCPA, ticket templates, website development and a monthly member's magazine.

It is a brief that agency chairman David Walter (above) is proud of securing.

NCPA revamp awaits
"This is a substantial achievement for Photolink and represents our first genuinely international account win," he noted.

"It is also an opportunity for our creative teams, in the UK and Mumbai, to collaborate and share their experience when creating what will become a truly international brand."

Walter continued: “The NCPA is South Asia’s most important cultural centre and handling its re-brand and creative strategy over the next 12 months will give us a unique opportunity to really cement our relationship with India and the city of Mumbai."

"In fact, it is testament to the work that we have already done there that we have beaten several major Indian agencies to win this account."

The NCPA is also home to the Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) and attracts high profile performers from across the globe.
