Monday, 25 June 2007
Italian sunglass designer and manufacturer, De Rigo, which owns the Police brand and has operations in 80 countries, has turned to Creative Spark of Manchester, to create and design its style guide for a new range of Police sunglasses it is launching internationally this year.

Actor Antonio Banderas will be the new face for Police following earlier ‘icons’ George Clooney and David Beckham.

Creative Spark won the work without pitching as the agency was recommended to De Rigo by a London fashion and lifestyle PR agency, Billington Jackson, which has previously used the Manchester agency for design projects on some of its other clients including Karen Millen, Oasis, Morgan and Givenchy.

The style guide will be used as the launch platform to announce Banderas as Police’s latest ambassador.

Sue Seel, an account director at Billington Jackson said “we have an evolving relationship with Creative Spark. They seem to be ahead of trends and keen to research beyond the brief.”

Ceative Spark was formed in 2003 and markets itself as branding designers specialising in fashion, music and property.  Other new projects gained by the agency in 2007 have come from Imperial Tobacco, Amec and international estate agents Hamptons.
