The national trade title for the UK’s public relations sector, PR Week, has published its 2007 ranking of agencies by fee income and turnover.
Always a contentious issue, a number of regional agencies don’t play ball and don’t submit figures. PR Week based its rankings on annualised figures for the calendar year ending December 2006.
London agencies dominate the list with the highest North West agency, Staniforth, ranked at 38 with £4.4m of fee income. By comparison, number one on the list is Bell Pottinger with fee income of £47m.
Other regional agencies ranked within the publication’s Top 150 are (figs relate to fee income):
Connectpoint (£1.7m), MC2 (£1.55m), Brazen (£1.35m), CityPress (£1.3m) and Barrett Dixon Bell (£.9m). In addition to these independent agencies, a number of national agencies in the table have substantial North West operations including Weber Shandwick and Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster.
A number of the region’s best known agencies, including Mason Williams, Cartmell, Paver Smith, SKV and Communique, declined to participate.Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
