Manchester’s Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster has apparently beaten a competing field of 26 agencies to secure the PR brief for SCRiB, the recycling and education arm of UK steel giant Corus.
Biss: steeled for task In the current climate of ever-growing concerns about sustainability and the environment Biss will be looking to promote better consumer understanding about recycling steel products. The brief will cover targeting the public at home, at work and at school, as Corus works in line with the government’s national recycling targets. The schools aspect in particular is set to be a focus for Brian Beech’s agency, as the team will be supporting new learning tools developed by Corus to help push ongoing sustainability practices. It’s a task that has left agency director Melissa Hinds feeling “delighted.” She commented: “As recycling and protecting the environment become ever more important, it’s vital we inform consumers about the positive contribution companies are making to the planet.” Biss previously worked with Corus for 17 years, ending in the 1990s, and this is the first time client and agency have been reunited. SCRiB is an acronym standing for Steel Can Recycling Information Bureau. www.bisslancaster.com Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
