Simon Broadbent, the recently installed deputy creative director at Manchester's Refinery, is leaving the agency to join Altrincham's The Foundry.
'Bertie'
Broadbent, widely known as Bertie within industry circles, has only been at the agency since March, but has been lured away by the promise of the standalone creative director position at The Foundry.

According to a statement from Refinery there's no hurt feelings, however, with MD Nigel Papworth commenting: "It’s been great having Bertie’s input and enthusiasm as part of our team for the past few months and we wish him all the best in his new role."

Papworth added that the agency is currently looking to grow "both organically and by acquisition.”

Broadbent came to the firm after leaving Connectpoint, now Amaze.

Refinery's creative team continues to be led by joint creative directors David Pye and Tom Barron.
