Manchester-based community group Mothers Against Violence is aiming to tackle knife crime this Christmas, with a new campaign created by Refinery.
The agency supports MAV as its chosen charity and is producing a number of marketing initiatives to mark the organisation's 10th year of campaigning.
Its latest hard-hitting effort is a poster and mailer/card push that strives to educate youngsters around the city about the dangers of carrying a knife, and the consequences they may face if they use one to commit crimes.
The Christmas themed cards, pictured, will be handed out in in crime hotspots around Manchester, while posters will be displayed in schools, youth clubs, libraries and youth offending and probation social services facilities.
Mothers Against Violence spokesperson Patsy McKie said: “Christmas is an important family time, which is why we’re launching this campaign to try to make a difference and appeal to anyone who might be involved in violent crimes.
"We want to bring love, hope and peace to our hearts and on our streets this Christmas. By raising awareness of the issues we hope to affect the next generation, as well as celebrate and support children and youngsters in the area.”
