To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Manchester’s live performance space, the GreenRoom; the venue has rebranded, courtesy of fellow Mancunians, Reform Creative.
It has become one of Europe’s leading centres for new creative talent, but after quarter of a century, artistic director Garfield Allen felt it was time for an update: “Although we’d grown attached to our old branding, we felt it time for a change to something that really reflects Greenroom’s experimental values and aspirations.” They had already brought in Reform Creative to design a new-look season brochure and returned to the agency to take a look at the whole brand. New logo “The first phase in the re-branding exercise was to produce a bold, contemporary logo. We used 3-D type to represent space and dimension,” said Reform’s Paul Heaton, “whilst the positive and negative type depicts the varied – and sometimes opposing – events that appear at GreenRoom.“Another important element was to make sure the logo could be used both during and after the 25th anniversary. And although the design is cutting-edge right now, we hope we don’t have to wait 25 years to design the next GreenRoom logo!” Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
