Cuckoo Design must have been counting their blessings when their latest client walked in off the street and offered them the job of creating a logo for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford.
Father Anthony Kay nipped across the road to the Chapel Street agency and asked for their help:
“When it came to choosing a creative partner, Cuckoo Design was an obvious choice as the agency is not only a member of our local community but their experience in working with charities and the voluntary sector is immense.”
The logo design coincides with the opening of a new Cathedral centre on Ford Street and it will be used across new stationary as well as signage and published materials.
Cuckoo went with a Tudor rose design to symbolise Lancashire and a mosaic of bees to signify Salford and Manchester being the centre of industry.
“We’ve been based on Chapel Street and have been part of the Salford community for over 18 years now. When we rebranded our own image from Walsh Simmons to Cuckoo Design, it was an opportunity for our neighbours to see our creative work first hand,” said Justine Wright, managing director of Cuckoo Design.
“Our striking look is more personable and we’re very flattered that we were approached by the Diocese. We’re really glad the Diocese felt comfortable to cross the road and pop in!” Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
