SKV wins Mega recognition from MediaGuardian

The prizes just seem to keep on coming for SKV Communication's lauded J'aime La Tour viral, created on behalf of VisitBlackpool....

After picking up 15 awards since its release, it has now gone Mega with the capture of one of MediaGuardian's Innovation Awards (also known as Megas).

The viral, seen again below for anyone that's (somehow) missed it, won the PR award at the London-based scheme, with the judges commenting: "Delivered perfect timing and execution with a lightness of touch and a sense of humour. A product of PR / advertising at its best."

The Mega followed on the heels of three further gongs at the recent Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Marketing Awards, also in London, where J'aime triumphed in the following categories; best viral communications, best tactical PR campaign and best strategic PR campaign.

Agency director Geraldine Vesey said of the wins: "We have won sixteen awards now for this piece of work and the recognition is for the creativity and strategic thinking SKV has displayed for a client prepared to let an agency be truly innovative."

Wasn't it SKV who were hired by GMG to lobby over the digital dividend carve-up? (a.k.a. Digital Switchover, Freeview, spectrum auction, etc.)
