SLAM seeks business sponsors for ‘Field of Women’ event | Print |  Email to a friend

New Manchester based PR agency SLAM North is searching for business sponsors to help client The Linda McCartney Centre raise £1m to fight breast cancer.

SLAM has been appointed to manage the promotional brief for the ambitious ‘Field of Women’ project that is scheduled to take place next July in Liverpool. This will see, it is hoped, some 10,000 people coming together on the city’s cricket ground to form a giant pink lady called LUCY – the name stands for ‘Listen Up, Check Yourself.’

SLAM has already masterminded the launch of the initiative in October, with celebrities such as Danielle Lloyd and Mutya Buena turning up to show their support at LIPA, in Liverpool, and London’s Embassy Club. This event, combined with the agency’s supporting launch work, managed to raise some £25,000 towards the target.

Ric Coggins, who heads up the recently formed team, is now looking to target businesses that can help out with this “extremely important” awareness raising exercise, and ideally wants to speak to firms that think they might be able to sponsor ‘Field of Women’.

To find out more about how you may be able to help contact Coggins on 0161 238 9409 or log on at www.fieldofwomen.com.
