McCann Erickson Communications House, has produced an animated 30 second TV commercial for SSL head lice brand Full Marks Solution.
The commercial airs in May and is being supported by a £750,000 media campaign which has been planned and bought by agency stable mate Universal McCann.
McCanns also handles other leading SSL brands including Scholl and Durex. The TV commercial combines live action and computer generated imagery to show an army of head lice relaxing on a girls scalp, drinking coffee and underestimating the efficiency of Full Marks Solution. Caroline Quentin of Men Behaving Badly and other programme fame does the voice over. The creative runs under the strap line “How quick is that!” Caroline Green, SSL’s brand manager for Full Marks said: “As the “nit nurse” is no longer used in the majority of schools, it is up to parents and guardians to control this common problem. With the help of this advertisement we’re confident that we can demonstrate just how quick and easy it can be to kill head lice.” The ad was produced by the TV Department Manchester and directed by Steen Agro. Animation and post and audio production was executed by Editz.
Alastair Bell and Jon Lea of McCanns were the copywriter and art director respectively. SSL www.ssl-international.com Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
