Steve Wilson, until recently the marketing director of Weatherseal Windows, Supremeoglaze and Space Kitchens, has left his position with the Latium Group to set up on his own.

Wilson has a long history within the North West marketing community, having previously held marketing director positions with Coldseal Windows, Thomas Sanderson Blinds and Portland Conservatories.

He also held the rather unusual dual role of marketing director at Moben Kitchens and client services director at BCMB for a time.

Wilson’s new venture is a marketing consultancy that will see him working with both clients and agencies to help them achieve maximum ROI on their marketing spends.

Wilson: going his own way
As he explained: “I felt it was time to move on as over the last 18 years there have been many unfulfilled promises, but there comes a time when you have to take your destiny into your own hands.

“I have great experience from both the agency side and client side and know the value of advertising and marketing expenditure, how to get the most from it and more importantly how to follow it through and be responsible for the end results.

“At this time where the marketplace is tough I know that I can offer results driven campaigns and advice based upon working for some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the UK.”

Wilson will be retained on a raft of assignments for the Latium Group, which is the holding company belonging to well-known Scottish entrepreneur Brian Kennedy.

Alongside Weatherseal Windows, Supremeoglaze and Space Kitchens, Latium also owns Everest, Ultraframe Conservatory Roofs, Spectus Profile Systems and Sale Sharks Premier Rugby Club.

Wilson said that he will offer sector expertise in areas as diverse as business development, branding and SEO.
