Tangerine hits the sweet spot with Concave football boots | Print |  Email to a friend

Manchester's Tangerine has been put up front, in publicity terms at any rate, by Concave Holdings Inc to promote the firm's 'revolutionary' football boots.

Manchester's Tangerine has put up front, in publicity terms at any rate, by Concave Holdings Inc for the launch of the firm's 'revolutionary' new football boots.
Tangerine scores new brief
Concave, which originally appointed Mere to launch the boot last year, claims to have crafted a design offering a 'sweet spot' that is four times larger than any other football boot.

It's unique shape also "allows players to have more power, more control and far greater accuracy than anything else available on the market today, while also protecting against foot injuries."

Tangerine's role in the UK push of the product is multifaceted. The team will be handling the announcement of sponsorship deals between Concave and premier league players, run a blogger outreach initiative, recruit brand ambassadors and head up all social media activity.

The agency's Vicki Lamb said that she and her colleagues would be focusing on the core target market of 14-25 year old males and "working on a wider range of new social media activity."

She continued: "The Tangerine team working on the account has both experience of the sector and a lot of passion for football, so it’s going to be an exciting campaign to be involved with.”

The campaign, which focuses on the benefits of the boot, will be launching over the coming weeks via Twitter, Facebook and e-shots.
