Tangerine PR will be acting on behalf of The Socialist Group as the European Parliamentary Party holds its first ever conference in the north of England.
The agency will be raising awareness of the Party ahead of the European Elections in June 2009. Red and Tangerine They are currently in Manchester to learn from the city’s regeneration expertise and also in honour of Gary Titley, a north west MEP who’s due to retire next year. Tangerine say they won the contract via word of mouth and they’ll be running a regional PR programme, targeting community and political outlets through consumer and new media. Sensing a possible feeling of anti-European sentiment in the region, Tangerine will focus on the positive impact Europe has had here. “There is great confusion surrounding European politics and people struggle to see how voting in Europe will effect the average family in the UK,” said Sandy Lindsay, managing director at Tangerine. “In fact, it’s extremely important and influences legislation that happens on our doorsteps. Tangerine will use a mix of public affairs, public relations and social media to kick some excitement into politics!” Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
