TBWA\Manchester is looking to capitalise on the current trend to 'grow your own' after picking up the Unwins Seeds marketing account from parent firm Westland Horticulture.

TBWA\Manchester is looking to capitalise on the current trend to 'grow your own' after picking up the Unwins Seeds marketing account from parent firm Westland Horticulture.
The agency has an existing client relationship with Westland - which also works with TBWA 'breakaway' agency driven - but was awarded this new brief separately following on from a pitch against two undisclosed competitors.

Initially the team will be concentrating on packaging and trade communications tasks, with a longer term focus on pushing the brand to the consumer market.

Fergus McCallum, CEO at TBWA\Manchester, commented: “A lot of gardeners are following the ‘grow your own’ trend which opens up a realm of possibilities for the brand’s existing and new products.

"The team here are hugely enthusiastic about this market, which has been evident in the success of past campaigns for other Westland brands such as Resolva.”

Alongside Resolva, TBWA also works on the Syngenta brand for Westland.
