Trinity Mirror has signed up Liverpool’s Think Publicity to promote the firm’s latest book. Following on the back of assignments to publicise the publisher’s Liverpool.com site and LDP Business titles, this latest job will see Think pushing an intimate book about the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Red Hot task for Think ‘Me and My Friends: Red Hot Chili Peppers’ is the work of Tony Woolliscroft, the band’s official photographer and constant tour companion. It brings together his photography with stories of colourful back stage shenanigans to paint a portrait of life with the band on the road. Think will now be pushing the book globally, through PR, guerrilla and viral marketing work. “Brands look to us for a fresh and dynamic approach which breaks the mould,” said agency director Phil Nixon. “Working on a project which is essentially a window into the personal lives of such a globally significant band has allowed us to be highly creative with our strategy and, working alongside Trinity Mirror’s own in-house marketing team, produce a highly targeted and integrated campaign.” The book goes on general release from 24 October. www.redhotchilipeppers-book.com Something to add?
