McCann Erickson Manchester has lost – well, almost lost, but more about that later – the talents of senior planner Lisa Tomlinson, as she looks to move across town to head up the planning department at BJL.
Tomlinson: on her way... soon Tomlinson has been poached by BJL after a four-year stint at McCanns, during which time she amassed experience with clients such as Booths, IBM and American Express. In her new role she will be leading a four strong planning team working across a range of both private and public sector accounts. In a release from BJL she noted that she was “looking forward to joining the team”, something that McCanns was keen to make clear to How-Do hadn’t actually happened yet. Apparently Tomlinson is still with the Prestbury-based agency and won’t be jumping ship until she’s completed a three month notice period. Speaking about the upcoming arrival of her new recruit, agency MD Nicky Unsworth said: “Insight is highly valued at BJL so finding someone to head up our growing planning department was always going to be a crucial appointment. “We saw lots of candidates but Lisa alone had impressive experience at the highest levels in Public and Private sectors. “The leading planning role she played on accounts such as Intercontinental Hotels, Center Parcs, UPS and the NHS make her the perfect fit for our client base.” www.bjl.co.uk
