The People’s History Museum in Manchester has chosen True North to provide it with a completely new brand image when it opens its doors in late 2009 after its current multi-million pound revamp.
A re-brand awaits True North has a history of dealing with arts and cultural organisations and will be looking to use its expertise to give the attraction a more focused brand identity.MD Martin Carr explained: “The People’s History Museum occupies a unique emotional place in hearts and minds but has suffered from a degree of confusion with non-visitors as to its purpose. “As well as its content, its high-profile location in Manchester City Centre and its dramatic extension offer a platform for an all-new approach. He continued: “We have a wealth of experience in this sector. “We’re currently rebranding Bristol’s Museums Galleries & Archives Service as well as branding the all-new ‘Museum of Bristol’ which is being built, but every branding brief presents its own unique challenge, regardless of sector. “We’re really enthusiastic about working with the People’s History Museum team to generate some excitement.” The museum’s Pump House home is currently being completely refurbished, with a new four-storey extension being built alongside it. www.phm.org.uk www.thisistruenorth.co.uk Something to add?
