True North to create cracking new environment for Auto Windscreens | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 07 October 2008
Although most industry observers probably associate Manchester-based True North with design of a graphic variety, apparently the team do like to turn their collective hand to ‘designing environments’ from time to time.

The firm, which recently scored the brief to re-brand the Climate Group, has told How-Do a little about its latest account win – the job to redesign the headquarters for Chesterfield-based Auto Windscreens.

Although most industry observers probably associate Manchester-based True North with design of a graphic variety, apparently the team do like to turn their collective hand to ‘designing environments’ from time to time.
A new look for Auto Windscreens
Apparently the team were taken on after having previously worked to design the first class cabin for airline bmi, before then enhancing ‘the look and feel’ of the firm’s Diamond Club lounges in various UK airports.

When the client, Ben Snowdon, then moved on to Auto Windscreens, so did True North.

Martin Carr of True North explained: “We were called in by the client because he is keen to develop and sharpen focus on the Auto Windscreens brand and to instil in colleagues (and visitors) a sense of their own brand identity, starting at the head office.”

Creative director Ady Bibby added: "In our opinion, this is a very interesting project, working with a client with whom we have a great relationship, doing what we do best - enhancing brands and raising standards.

“It is not a signal for a march on '3D design', or environments. We like solving problems,” he noted.

Auto Windscreens is owned by the RAC and is currently reported to be looking to move away from associations with its parent and create a stronger, standalone identity of its own.
