Typocom have created a new installation for the University Hospital of South Manchester.
Typocom The Manchester design studio was commissioned to make the image which runs the 10 metres along the main outpatients corridor - the main thoroughfair of the hospital.Creative director Dan Taylor said: “We wanted to create a display which was bold enough for people to momentarily glance at to take in the main facts, or to stop and read the more detailed information.” The large format prints are matt coated, with additional text and imagery raised off the background and encased behind a high gloss finish. “It was important that the display communicated our world-class services in a clear and concise way, and Typocom have interpreted this superbly. The contrast of the raised prints from the background, along with the life-size imagery of UHSM staff members, really makes people stop and take note of the display and the information contained within it,” added Rachel Blenkinsop, the hospital's communications manager.
