Liverpool creative agency, Uniform, has been ranked at number 98 in trade magazine Design Week’s national ranking of the UK’s design companies.
Arguably of less note but more intrigue, the magazine also placed Uniform fourth in the UK in its ‘most bullish’ ranking. The rankings are based on submitted audited accounts plus internal forecasts, the latter in relation to the ‘most bullish category’.
"It’s great news for us and underpins our ambition and confidence to become one of the leading design groups in the UK" said MD Nick Howe.
Howe and Bentley Howe and Nick Bentley established the agency in 1998 and the company now employs 18 staff.
It has just taken on three new people: Tim Sharp, Larissa Kolstein and Rachel Veniard.
Sharp has joined as design director having previously held the same roles at Thompson Design in Leeds and Navy Blue in Edinburgh.
Larissa Kolstein joins from the Tate in Liverpool to become Uniform’s studio manager and Rachel Veniard joins as a senior designer from Browns in London.
Uniform has recently completed a rebrand of the designer shopping destination, Cavern Walks, and has also recently created a 30 second viral for skate company East Skateboards.
Having worked on joint promotions with international software developers Autodesk for a number of years, the company has just been awarded the task to create a new brand image for the US owned software company.
Autodesk and Uniform will be jointly presenting the new Autodesk range and identity at events in Spain, Holland and the US in the next few months.
