Digital and design specialist Walsh Simmons has been commissioned by existing client Harvest Housing Group to produce a DVD for a £2m initiative aimed at helping unemployed West Cumbrians find work.
The agency is currently producing a 10 minute long promotional film for Harvest’s Routes 2 Work project, which aims to help its unemployed residents learn and train for new professions, hence overcoming social and economical exclusion. Routes 2 Work, which is run in conjunction with Allerdale Borough Council, has been in operation since 2005 and has so far helped over 2,000 people back into employment. Walsh Simmons’ film is currently being shot at a training centre in Workington and aims to showcase how the scheme can help transform people’s lives. Once completed the DVD will be distributed to councils, Housing Associations, builders and local government officials. The Manchester-based team has a long history with Harvest and recently developed the corporate identities for five of its new build ‘Extra Care’ projects in Cheshire. Something to add?
