Lucky Brian picks up Lucky Voice Pods | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 03 July 2007
Lucky Voice Pods, an offshoot from Lucky Voice Karaoke which was launched in June 2005 in Poland Street, Soho, is opening its first regional operation within Tiger Tiger at the Printworks in Manchester.

The company is investing £400,000 in the new venture which is expected to create 20 new jobs.

The PR account has been won by Biss Lancaster’s Manchester office. The marketing director of Novus Leisure, James Spragg, was an earlier client of Biss Lancaster’s MD Brian Beech when he was marketing director of Whitbread Restaurants.

Lucky Voice was created by Nick Thistleton and his business partner lastminute.com’s Martha Lane-Fox.

Lucky Voice Pods (LVP) are claimed to be an entirely different experience from the traditional image of karaoke and hen and stag nights. LVP offer those in need of public audiences, private air conditioned pods, leather sofas, touch screen monitors and personal waiter service.

The venture has proved popular in London and Novus Leisure, owner of the Tiger Tiger franchise, approached the company with a view to rolling out the concept across its nine outlets in the UK.

Brian Beech said: “This is a unique account and provides us with the opportunity to work with a major brand on something that has never been seen in this city before. Private Karaoke is incredibly popular in London and the people of Manchester will be dancing in the streets when they experience the concept for themselves.”
