Andy Gilpin, formerly the sports editor of the Daily Post in North Wales, has been appointed deputy editor of the paper.

Prior to becoming sports editor two years ago, Gilpin was a sports sub-writer.
Following graduation from Stirling University with a degree in Film and Media, he joined the Wrexham Mail as sports editor. He gained his NCTJ while at the paper and also acquired local notoriety when he was banned from the football club as a result of one of his investigations.
He told How-Do that he was “looking forward to continuing the excellent tradition of the Daily Post in print and online.”
The Daily Post sells circa 37,000 Monday to Friday and 39,000 on a Saturday.
