Award-winning travel writer David Atkinson is returning to Wrexham to teach journalism at Glyndwr University.

We appreciate the geographical issues with that sentence, but we’re sure the Lonely Planet people know that Chester isn’t in Wales.
Atkinson has written for the Observer, Weekend Financial Times and Wanderlust magazine.
It was for a Wanderlust article that he became joint winner of this year’s Latin American Travel Association Travel Article of the Year award.
He’s also been shortlisted for a number of North West awards.
"It’s a long way from La Paz to Wrexham, but I’m happy to be working back in the town where I was born," explained Atkinson.
