Will Batchelor, 31, has been appointed news editor of the north Wales edition of the Daily Post. He will be based at the paper's Llandudno office.
 Batchelor He was previously northern editor at the Press Association in Manchester.
Batchelor was born in Solihull and read History at Nottingham University before taking a postgrad degree in Newspaper Journalism at UCLAN.
He subsequently joined Mercury Press Agency in Liverpool in June 1999 and became news editor in mid 2000.
In April 2001 he moved to the Press Association in Liverpool as a reporter and became chief North West reporter in November 20003.
In April 2006 he was appointed northern editor of the bureau.
The Welsh edition of the Post is claimed to be read by more people in North Wales than any other daily newspaper.
