Lisa Bhatti is being promoted to the role of ad manager at Nat Mags after regional ad director Gavin Barber (the only man in the publisher’s sales office) announced his decision to quit these shores for a new life Down Under.
Barber: off to Oz Barber joined the team from Nat Mags London office four years ago to work alongside sales director Keely McIntosh, leading a sales team of 12 members of staff. However, the chance to make a fresh start as a house husband (for the time being at least) in Australia proved too much of a temptation and he will now leave the firm at the end of May. Bhatti, who was previously business development manager at the Nat Mags office, has a long career in the industry, having enjoyed tenures at Associated Newspapers and a number of marketing agencies including JWT, Carat and BJL. McIntosh said of the changes: “It has been a pleasure working with Gavin, he has made a massive contribution to our office, he will be sorely missed and we all wish him and his family great success and happiness in their new life in Sydney. “We’ve had a successful start to the year and the team is incredibly strong right now. It’s good to have someone with Lisa’s contacts and experience to add to that. “
