Big Spark lands global Global publishing deal | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 30 September 2008
The credit crunch and crippling contractions in the property market don’t appear to be stymieing everyone’s expansion plans at present  – as illustrated by the latest news from Bury’s Big Spark Publishing.

The team, under the stewardship of Stuart Parker (Stuartship then? Ed) has been engaged by Global Referral Systems, part of the Global Realty Services Group, to produce a new luxury worldwide homes and lifestyle title, New Home Worldwide Portfolio.

The credit crunch and crippling contractions in the property market don’t appear to be stymieing everyone’s expansion plans at present – as illustrated by the latest news from Bury’s Big Spark Publishing.
Big Spark: international audience
The project will see Big Spark producing what it calls a “sumptuous 164-page book-magazine”, which focuses on international new home properties, and boasts a global distribution to match.

New Home is set to offer 50 pages of editorial, with 110 pages of advertising (the ads in the editorial section will be sold by Big Spark) and is produced in conjunction with Coldwell Banker.

It will be available with a retail price of £6.50 but is free to pick up in over 190 European 5-star hotels, 135 UK 5-star hotels, and a selection of spas, private clinics, health clubs and first class airport lounges.

Explaining his firm’s involvement, Parker commented: “We have been working with Richard Combellack of GRS for over six months on this project.

“GRS will manage the web and email systems and we at Big Spark will handle the publishing element.

“This publishing offer will be available across the globe. All property pages will be booked and paid for online and the front-end advertising in the lifestyle pages section will be sold by our team.

“The sophistication built into the web property page booking software will enable us to see who’s online at any time, check their progress through the site and see which page they are visiting in the buying cycle.”
