Butt leaves Channel M for Isle of Man | Print |  Email to a friend
Friday, 12 September 2008
Richard Butt has left his role as reporter and editor of Channel M to head back home to the Isle of Man.

Butt leaves Channel M for Isle of Man
Wot no video?
He’ll be editor of Isle of Man newspapers, which has three titles, the Examiner, Courier and Manx Independent, not forgetting the obligatory website, iomtoday.

In fact Butt started his career at the IOM Newspaper in 1989 before heading to the city lights of Manchester where he became editor of Manchester Metro News.

He starts the new role on Monday and a quick glance at the IOM website suggests that staff should brace themselves for some technology - expect a video section very soon, although maybe not a blog, it can bring out the angry side of journalists !

...'editor at channel m'...I think not.
Or is this just his journalistic over-exaggeration kicking in?

Good luck to Dick Butt and the cutting edge that is the I o M.
