The publisher of i-on Edinburgh magazine has awarded the print contract for its second title –Glasgow - to Buxton Press and has also signalled its intent to launch further lifestyle titles in England over the next two years.
I-on Edinburgh was launched in September 2005 as a monthly targeting 24 to 49 year old urban professionals in the Scottish capital.
The publisher claims a circulation figure of 20,000 magazines distributed via venues around the city including boutique hotels, Harvey Nichols, health spas and retail outlets.
Wood and Morris/i-on In February this year, the company moved its print contract from Stones to Buxton.
“It was a business development move” said co-founder Laura Wood “as Buxton promised good rates and high customer service as we looked towards the launch of i-on Glasgow.”
The new title also has a monthly circulation of 20,000.
Wood told How-Do that the company “has plans to develop the i-on brand and to roll the magazine out into other UK cities over the next two years.
