Chinatown The Magazine is increasing the size of this year’s Pearl Awards and is moving the venue to the Royal Festival Hall.
The English-speaking magazine, which is based in Manchester’s Chinatown, claims a circulation of over 15,000 copies bi-monthly. The first issue was published to coincide with Chinese New Year 2002. The Pearl Awards are a joint venture between the magazine and the Pearl Foundation which created the awards to recognise the positive impact made by individuals and companies on the Chinese community in Britain and to celebrate Chinese achievements in multicultural Britain.
The awards were launched in 2004. David Tang OBE is Patron of the awards.
