CN, an English firm, cleans up at Scottish Magazine of the Year Awards | Print |  Email to a friend
Friday, 27 November 2009

Amidst a rumble of under the breath mutterings about sassanaks and various ills perpetrated by their brothers from across the border*, an English firm has managed to sneak in and steal the top gong at the PPA's Scottish Magazine Awards 2009.

Carlisle's CN Group will be nursing sore heads this morning (from champagne rather than fisticuffs we hope, Ed) after last night securing the prize of Scottish Magazine of the Year for its Dumfries & Galloway Life title.

Amidst a rumble of under the breath mutterings about sassanaks and various ills perpetrated by their brothers from across the border*, an English firm has managed to sneak in and steal the top gong at the PPA's Scottish Magazine Awards 2009.
The winning team
Furthermore the same publication also picked up the 'consumer magazine of the year' gong.

The ceremony, held at Edinburgh's Our Dynamic Earth, was attended by 400 leading lights from the Scottish publishing industry, and a small English raiding party.

Mike Soutar of Shortlist Media acted as chairman of the judges.

Oh dear. Unless I'm wrong (not unheard of in fairness) the journalist in question what wrote the above is one of your mob from North of the border. Perhaps you need to put your own house in order before you gather your spears, head South and start laying waste to Carlisle
