Manchester’s Creative Industries Development Service (CIDS) has announced that it is taking Creative Times, its popular quarterly publication, online from April.
The 16-page tabloid paper, which is mailed out to around 6,000 subscribers every three months, will still be produced in its original print format, but the new online presence is aimed at developing the brand further to make it more of a “community driven service.” As such the site, currently being developed by Bolton’s Fudge, will feature regularly updated news and comment, as well as features that enable CIDS members to showcase their talents through online portfolios. A spokesperson at CIDS, which recently saw the departure of Phil Birchenall, confirmed to How-Do that this was not a move away from producing the print edition of the paper. They added that there is no definitive launch date as yet for the website and that this is the first time the organisation has worked with Fudge. CIDS is currently on the lookout for members of the creative community to contribute to the new web presence. You can email the team at editor@cids.co.uk www.cids.co.uk Something to add?
