Dave Bowden set to step down at CN after 32 years |

Dave Bowden, the managing director of Furness Newspapers, part of the CN Group, is leaving the company to take his ‘first retirement.’
 Hall: praise for Bowden Bowden has been MD at Furness, publisher of the North West Evening Mail, for the last three years, after working his way up through the ranks from an early role in newspaper sales.In a statement released within the group yesterday Terry Hall, the MD of CN’s publishing division, paid warm praise to the departing Bowden. He said: “Dave has been talking to me for some time about taking his 'first retirement' and is looking for a new challenge as well as a change of pace. “He has given exemplary service during his career in the Group. “We will all miss his contribution and friendship and wish him success in the future.” Hall added that Bowden would be stepping down as of 5 September, noting: “We will be starting a search for a replacement soon, but in the meantime the existing senior management team will be in day to day charge.” http://beta.nwemail.co.uk/home
