A new press agency devoted to providing news, features and images with an eco-slant has launched, with its picture facilities based out of Liverpool.
More power to Green Wire The operation is a joint venture between the Mercury Press Agency and the publisher of Sustainable Innovation magazine and aims to provide a spectrum of stories, features and commentary pieces every day of the week, all along a green theme.A team of eight reporters will work remotely on the venture, controlled from the Tunbridge Well’s offices of Sustainable Publishing, while the picture desk will be operated from Mercury’s office in Merseyside. Green Wire is the brainchild of Sustainable’s publishing director Stuart Qualtrough and is supported by Mercury’s CEO Chris Johnson. The two have said that the increasingly popular eco news sector needs the attention of specialists in the field, and that’s exactly what they aim to provide.
