The 18th annual North West Newspaper Awards has been launched today by sponsor Sellafield and the Society of Editors.
It’s aimed at journalists and newspapers from across the region, with prizes worth up to £700.
There are 10 categories, including a new one - newspaper of the year with a circulation under 20,000.  Winners 2008 News Reporter of the Year Feature Writer of the Year Sports Reporter of the Year Photographer of the Year Young Journalist of the Year Daily Newspaper of the Year Weekly Newspaper of the Year Daily Newspaper Website of the Year Weekly Newspaper Website of the Year Newspaper of the Year
"This competition has always been very popular with the best in North West journalists, once again we are hoping for record entries. Good luck to all who enter," said Iain Irving Sellafield’s director stakeholder relations. Judges will nominate 3 entrants from each category who’ll be invited to a presentation in Chester on June 19th. Entries close on May 15th. Something to add?
