Lancashire-based Farmers Guardian has won the Editorial Campaign of the Year PPA Award for its Fair Trade for British Farmers campaign.
PPA Winners The judges praised the magazine for its “original, well-timed, extremely well executed multifaceted campaign that championed change.”
The campaign ran in both the Farmers Guardian and Country Living throughout 2007.
“Getting a heavy-hitter consumer title beside us helped us get our message out to more consumers about pricing issues and achieving 50,000 signatures on our petition demonstrated we really struck a chord with the public,” said editor, Liz Falkingham. “This is a great achievement and is recognition for all of the team.”
The annual Periodical Publishers Association event took place at London’s Grosvenor House.Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
