Sports marketing agency Fuse Sport has struck a deal with The Observer to promote bookmaker Paddy Power during the Cheltenham Festival. It follows on from the firm’s high profile success with the client and the Tongan contingent at last year’s Rugby World Cup.
The latest activity from the Manchester-based team, the first for its new sub brand Fuse Sport Full Service, will see a multi-platform campaign revolving around The Observer’s acclaimed Sport Monthly magazine. Half a million Paddy Power Advice Cards for the festival will be inserted into OSM, while additional advertising will run throughout its coverage of the event and within The Observer’s main sports section itself. The deal was brokered by Fuse director Adam Roland and Darren Sutton-Warren from The Observer. Fuse Sport Full Service off to a flyer Adam Perrin, Paddy Power’s head of brand marketing, said of the initiative: “Cheltenham represents a massive opportunity for bookmakers and finding the right partners is essential. “The Observer Sport Monthly magazine comes out at the right time with the right editorial and represents an opportunity for us to maximise our relationship with considered, discerning sports fans in a fun, friendly and irreverent manner.” Fuse has also scored success recently with Field to Podium and champion pugilist Ricky Hatton. www.fuse-sport.com Something to add?
