Hatton and Garner win recognition at EN awards |

Ben Hatton and Mark Garner have been respectively named as young entrepreneur of the year and new media entrepreneur of the year at business magazine EN’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards.
The event at Mere attracted a full house of 500 folk.

Ben Hatton was recognised for his success in establishing digital agency Rippleffect from a two-man operation in 1999 to a leading agency employing 40 people today with clients including Floors-2-Go, the M.E.N Arena, the NHS, the NWDA and numerous Premiership football clubs.
Ripplefffect was recently acquired by Trinity Mirror. The latter’s head of business development Mark Dickinson said: “The award is a tremendous accolade for Ben and the agency. Rippleffect is highly experienced in sports web development and will prove key in supporting the diversification of Trinity Mirror’s sports media business to offer integrated e-marketing and online services together with print.”
 Garner Mark Garner, co-founder of Planet Confidential, publisher of entertainment and lifestyle websites in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds, was recognised for the impact the ‘Confidential Phenomenon’ has made on the region. Garner told How-Do that winning this award was “excellent and almost made up for not being a winner at the recent How-Do awards.”
